#130 – Ukulele Class One: Beginners
Date: 2 Mondays, March 20 and 27 from 7 to 7:45 p.m.
This course is designed for a beginner with no musical background. Learn all the basics about a fun little instrument called the ukulele with Steve Kurilla. We will learn several fun songs that will have us strumming and singing by the end of the first class.

Students must provide their own instrument.
#131 – Ukulele Class Two: with some experience
Date: 4 Mondays, April 3, 10, 17, 24 from 7 to 7:45 p.m.
Join Steve Kurilla for some strumming fun while we learn to play the Ukulele in an entertaining, stress-free setting. We will cover many ukulele basics while singing along to familiar songs. We will learn about right and left hand technique, melody reading, chord reading and more. We will explore the history of the Uke and learn about notable Ukulele performers past and present. This class will be a continuation of our fall ukulele class with songs that are suitable for beginners through intermediate players.
#132 – Introduction to String Instruments
Date: 4 Wednesdays, Apr 26 to May 17, 7 to 8 p.m. These dates have been changed from the original posting.
Here’s your chance to learn more about string instruments such as the cello, violin, upright bass or electric bass. In this class, we will be covering technical approaches to the instrument, note reading, and tone production plus history of these fine instruments. #133 – Chamber Music for Experienced Players
Date: 3 Wednesdays, May 10, 17, 31 at 7:00 p.m.
This course would organize individual community members into chamber music groups. Each group would receive a weekly coaching session on a piece of music appropriate for their level. All instruments welcome as students join gifted artist Colleen Ruddy.
