#105     Cupcake Decorating

Date: Wednesday, September 20   Time: 6:30 P.M.

What could be better than an evening spent with Robin Phillips of “For Goodness Cakes!”  as she teaches the art of cupcake decorating?  Robin will instruct in the basic art of frosting and decorating cupcakes.  Students will learn to prepare and fill pastry bags, then execute different frosting techniques.  Robin will supply 4 pre-baked cupcakes in a take-home box and enough cream cheese icing and Swiss meringue butter cream to practice their technique.

Homemade Baklava –  Chef Eva Khalil will share her recipe and show how to prepare this traditional pastry. Enjoy this treat with Turkish coffee and take some baklava home to share.

#107 Classic Ravioli

The Class is Full!

 Date: Thursday, October 12      Time: 6:30 P.M.

Chef Paula Lamberton will entertain all participants as she instructs class in  making three types of ravioli: meat, cheese, and seafood.  Using recipes that have been passed down by her family, Paula will also lead class in making three simple sauces to complement each type of ravioli.  Once you learn the basics of ravioli making, you will be able to not only make the classic ravioli but also apply the same techniques to make sweet filled ravioli.

Join Deana Sesso to make her famous Pasta Fagioli.  Deana’s recipe was featured in The Scranton Times and it’s delicious!   She will also show the class a tablescape idea to go along with this rustic Italian dish.
