#122   Gentle Yoga to Support the Immune System for Chronic Illnesses: Lyme, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Lupus, MS, Autoimmune Disorders, Etc.

Yoga classes taught by Eileen Harte M.S. CCC/SLP a certified yoga instructor RYT E-500 with 38 years of experience.  Classes will be geared for individuals with chronic health conditions burdened by pain and fatigue.  Supported restorative poses will be introduced using props such as chairs, walls, blankets, bolsters, belts and blocks to ease individuals into comfortable, yet opening positions.  Yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and deep relaxation exercises will be explored. These classes might be right for those that are reticent to participate in “exercise classes”.  Yoga truly is not an exercise class, in the ordinary sense, although it can have profoundly positive effects on the physical body.  Yoga is a practice that works on multiple layers of the SELF.  As you surrender into your individual “effortless effort” you might begin to witness at the core of your being your essential nature which is in a state of perfection and a state of bliss.

Participants must be able to easily ambulate and get up and down from the floor unassisted.

Please bring a yoga mat.
