#116 Spring Bulbs

Date: This class is being rescheduled. Please check back.

Bulbs, tubers and corms!  Oh my!  That phrase may be reminiscent of the Wizard of Oz but it really does reflect how some of us feel about those gorgeous flowers that we plant in the fall and reap the beauty months later.  We’re all familiar with the lovely early jewels like snowdrops, crocuses, daffodils, tulips and hyacinth, but there’s so much more!  Dahlias, cannas, gladiolas, and even MORE!  Join the Penn State Master Gardeners of Lackawanna County when they share information about different types of “bulbs”, how to tell them apart, how to plant them, how to protect them from hungry critters and what you can do to extend the life of these spring, summer and fall beauties.
