Am I a racist? Understanding implicit bias

Last year’s murder of George Floyd was only one racially-charged incident in a long history of similar events in America. Yet it may have prompted a tipping point for people of good conscience to confront racism in our nation. Social scientists have offered tools to understand the prejudices that lurk in all of our souls, often hidden and mostly unaddressed. This salon will offer a safe and honest conversation about the biases that we carry. It is an important conversation to begin in our affluent and relatively non-diverse community. We will learn from one another and share helpful resources that build understanding and undergird the work of racial justice.

This salon will be lead by Rev. Bill Carter, Pastor, First Presbyterian Church, Clarks Summit

This is a Zoom class.
