Dr. Melvyn Wolk and his wife Marilyn will present & sign their children’s coloring and activity book, Ill-Phabet.
Health issues need not be scary for children. In these “covid “ times when health seem to be so much in the news, the book will help children overcome some of their fears. It deals with common everyday problems,rashes to pimples to broken bones to fevers to coughs, that children can encounter in a fun way. The book emphasizes that not every illness is a cause for major concern.
The book is a new way of looking at the ABCs with animals, jingles and rhymes and focuses on children’s health and wellness problems. It is written in a “Seussical“ style with the purpose of making children’s health problems, doctors visits, and hospital visits less scary for children. This interactive book is designed to have parents and caregivers read or participate in games with their children.
Dr. Wolk, is a retired Pediatrician and former head of Pediatrics at Community Medical Center and was instrumental in starting the first Ronald McDonald House in the area. He and his wife, Marilyn, will be on hand to sign books and answer any questions you many have.
