Paula M. Baillie
Program Facilitator
Her commitment to what would become The Gathering Place for Community, Arts & Education began in her commitment to lifelong learning. As a founding member of The Gathering Place, she has served in several positions: music and class program developer, treasurer, fundraiser, web and newsletter developer. Her most loved position is working with a committee that developed and runs The Memory Café. The Gathering Place’s Memory Café serves people with memory loss and their care partners. This endeavor has created a community of people from Northeastern Pennsylvania who share their experiences to help one another and to enjoy getting out in the world by creating crafts, music and supporting each other. Paula has shared these experiences with the greater community through a 2024 Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Forum virtual conference and her knowledge with those who are interested in developing other memory cafes.
