Meditation Art with Joe Statuto & Virginia Sosik

Artist and musician Joe Statuto, alongside teaching artist Virginia Sosik, will lead this reflective afternoon of meditation and creative exploration, supporting each participant in translating sound, stillness, and imagery into meaningful sculptural form.
Do you enjoy working with your hands while engaging in mindful creativity? This immersive workshop invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and create from a place of presence.
Music, meditation, creativity, and art education are seamlessly woven together in this six-hour guided experience. Participants will explore relaxation and self-expression through hands-on clay work, accompanied by the contemplative sounds of Japanese shakuhachi music and thoughtful artistic guidance. Using self-drying clay and guided meditation, images, emotions, and forms are allowed to emerge naturally, transforming inner experiences into three-dimensional, hand-built sculptures.
This workshop is limited to 8 participants. No prior art experience is required, only an open mind and a willingness to explore your inner artist.
