We all learned this back in grade school…right? \nBut is that all they bequeathed to us? \nMaybe not! The more stringent sect\, Puritans\, framed our national conscience with their attitudes\, restrictions\, and general intolerance for anything viewed outside their norm. \nFew literary works do a better job of bringing us smack into the duality of what life in a Puritan colony was really like than does Nathaniel Hawthorne’s classic work\, The Scarlet Letter.
