Judy Rienzi holds a Master of Science degree in Public Health Education, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She is certified as a Holistic Health Practitioner, Integrative Imagery Practitioner, and has certificates in aromatherapy, plant-based nutrition, and vegan nutrition.
Judy’s strong commitment to promoting health led her to establish the company, Health Promotion Associates, LLC, and publish a community based magazine titled Self-Care, Well-Being & Beyond. She went on to write the book The CONNECT Health Management System.
Nutrition and plants have always been her passion. But it wasn’t until she picked up a box of broccoli microgreens at the local health food store that her passion for growing her own vegetables began. That was several years ago. She has been growing microgreens in her home ever since and educating others through community events. Now she added a few green leafy vegetables to her grow list.
Growing microgreens may have been the catalyst that sparked the book. But the idea behind Nicole’s Micro Garden was to show how Nicole’s new connection to plants helped her build confidence and grow as a person along with growing her greens. As she learns how to nurture her plants, she learns how to become a friend to a very difficult girl. She may still be shy, but she works through her shyness and goes after the things she loves.
