Nice Pets

In the Best Behaved Pet competitions, the prize winners were about to be announced.  Unfortunately, the judges have all their results wrongly recorded.  Although each item is in the correct column, only 1 item in each column is correctly positioned.

         Owner                      Pet                       Name

  1. Arthur                          cat                             Keith

  2. Bob                                rhino                        Len

  3. Cathy                            pig                            Molly

  4. Dennis                          crocodile                Norma

  5. Evelyn                           leopard                   Olive

  1. The leopard is 2 places below Keith

  2. Arthur is 2 places above the crocodile

  3. Norma is 2 places above Evelyn

  4. Dennis is 3 places below Len

  5. The rhino is not in first place

Can you find the owner, the pet and the pet name for each?

Cool Café

In the Cool Café, the waiter has written down his orders incorrectly. Each item is in the correct column, but only one entry in each column is correctly positioned. Can you give the surname, drink and number of sugar lumps for each?

     Surname               Drink              Sugar Lumps

  1. Aviary                tea                   0

  2. Bloggs              coffee               1

  3. Crumple           latte                 2

  4. Dribble             mocha             3

– The latte or the coffee was ordered with either 0 or 1 sugar.

– Second to receive an order is Aviary, who has neither the 1 nor 3 sugars and did not order a latte.

– Just after Aviary is neither Bloggs nor Dribble, but whoever it is receives 0 sugar in either tea or mocha.
